"Great brands can be brought to life from within the hearts and minds of those in an organisation but this can only be done if they internalise and live a single unified brand promise."

Sean Tan
Brand Consultant

Sean has a rational and systematic approach to problem solving, using universally grounded principles to guide his thinking. His interest in military technology led him to become an engineering officer with the Singapore Armed Forces where he served for 5 years in various  organisational and leadership roles. It was there that he learnt to take on a strategic, macro and holistic view of issues.

Most recently, Sean was in Trek 2000, a Singapore technology company which invented the thumbdrive. His role as sales and marketing manager, encompassed all of  Asia as well as European markets for Trek’s consumer electronics products and enterprise systems.  He thus had the opportunity to work  with customers and partners in countries such as Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, China, India, France, UK, Germany and Sweden.

Sean received an SAF scholarship and graduated from NUS with a bachelors in electrical engineering, with coursework in management, marketing, economics and new media in 2006.  He is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Sean is also a “coach” for a non-profit Youth Rugby Development Club called the Ta’moko Lions, mentoring and inspiring under-privileged children between the ages of 10 and 18 in both sport and life.

Sean is also passionate about the green movement and frequently ideates better ways of harnessing nature’s energy instead of over-relying on fossil fuels. Sean loves all outdoor activities, especially rugby, running, swimming, soccer, scuba diving and golf.
