Karen helms the design practice at Activiste. She approaches every project with vigor and passion. She likes to challenge convention with new ideas, bringing her broad design experience in packaging, identity, and new product development to bear on her work.

Within Activiste she has worked on a wide range of brand identity design projects including restaurant chains such as Hosted, Shin Kushiya, as well corporate work for MAJ Aviation, Bank BTPN, NUS Development Office, NUH Children’s Medical Centre, and Motorola Solutions amongst others.

Prior to joining Activiste, she was a senior designer with Interbrand Singapore for four years, where she worked on and led design programmes for AIA (Regional), Jollibee (Philipines), Videocon Mobile(India), BDO (Banco De Oro, Philippines), Bridge Alliance, Economic Development Board (EDB), Far East Organisation, Iskandar Regional Development Authority, and Thai Airways International amongst others. In 2009, Karen was one of five designers from Interbrand worldwide, chosen to work on the Winter Olympics project - Sochi 2014.

Her previous experience includes positions with Equinox Art and Design, Immortal, DIA branding consultancy, Bonsey Design, Design Bridge and Fitch

Karen graduated with a Diploma of Fine Art in Photography and Design in Sydney.

Outside of the office, Karen loves to paint, scuba dive, sail and travel. She is passionate about the sea and conservation. Through the Nature Society of Singapore she has helped to conserve the reefs and mangroves around Singapore.
