Karen Leong
Design Director

Karen is the newest addition to the Activiste team and helms the design practice here. She approaches every project with vigor and passion. She likes to challenge convention with new ideas, bringing her broad design experience in packaging, identity and new product development to bear on her work.

Prior to joining Activiste, she was a senior designer with Interbrand Singapore for 4 years, where she worked on and led design programmes for AIA (Regional), Jollibee (Philippines), Videocon Mobile (India), BDO (Banco De Oro, Philippines), Bridge Alliance, Economic Development Board (EDB), Far East Organisation, Iskandar Regional Development Authority and Thai Airways International amongst others. In 2009, Karen was one of five designers from Interbrand worldwide, chosen to work on the Winter Olympics project - Sochi 2014.

Her previous experience includes positions with Equinox Art and Design, Immortal, DIA branding consultancy, Bonsey Design, Design Bridge and Fitch.

Karen graduated with a Diploma of Fine Art in Photography and Design in Sydney.

Outside of the office, Karen loves to paint, scuba dive, sail and travel. She is passionate about the sea and conservation. Through the Nature Society of Singapore she has helped to conserve the reefs and mangroves around Singapore.
