Overview
Develop an umbrella collective brand to promote and market Singapore retail brands of merit & distinction locally and internationally.
Challenge
Whilst Singapore had been marketing itself as a shopping destination in the region, locals and visitors were increasingly confronted with the same global brands that are present all over the world. What was missing was a platform which identified Singapore inspired brands and their unique retail concepts.
Solution
Activiste worked closely with government agencies and the retail industry to create a collective brand that epitomises the diversity in style and innovation of some of the best designed, Singapore-inspired merchandise, ideas and concepts. Beyond developing the brand strategy, brand name and visual identity, Activiste was also appointed to operationalise the collective for the first 18 months.
Today GET SINGAPORE has 37 retailers as members. Its website which has attracted almost 900,000 hits in its first 9 months, and has received almost $5million worth of media coverage in local and international publications including prestigious publications, such as Monocle. Many of the participating retailers have started to work more closely together and strategic partnerships with banks, mall owners and payment system companies are yielding strong results.
